On Sunday, November 2, the city of Shimonoseki hosted its biggest annual sporting event — the 18th Kaikyō Marathon, held every year on the first Sunday of November. This year’s race welcomed around 9,200 runners from across Japan and abroad, all taking on the full marathon course.
